Becoming a Pinterest marketer was a mid-life career change. After many years of corporate life, I had a strong desire to become independent and offer my skills and experience to other businesses. This did not happen overnight. For a number of years I juggled teenage daughters, a full-time job and my business, whilst constantly learning new online marketing skills.
I discovered Pinterest in 2012. It was still in it's early days, but it appealed immediately to my sense of creativity. The sheer volume of ideas, the inspiration it generated and the simple way to save my finds in an organized way for current and future projects were an instant hit with me. Since I'm super-organized and also have a creative streak, Pinterest just struck a cord with me.
The more I used it, the more it started to dawn on me that this platform had great marketing potential.
