The first tip is a beautiful match between Pinterest and Feedly. It is a great way to keep you posted on any new content pinned on to your favourite Pinterest boards. All you need to do is create an RSS feed for your selected boards in Feedly by copying the URL of the board you want to keep track of in Feedly and replace the “/” at the end by “.rss”. Next step is to add this newly created feed to your Feedly account, et voilà: you now have a brand new feed for your favourite Pinterest boards. How to replace blog post images WITHOUT LOSING all the Pinterest links
Do you want to replace some of your blog images, but you fear it will break the links from the hundreds or thousands of repins out there that contain the original images? There is a way to replace those images without breaking any Pinterest links. The way to do this is to keep the old images in your blog article and making them invisible. Just add some HTML code to the images you wish to hide: style=”display: none;” Then add the new image to your blog article. Now, anyone who wants to pin directly from your website can only pin the unhidden images. Julia from cuckoo4design explains how she did this for her blog posts.
Who is pinning content directly from your website?
The following powerful little feature allows you to check who is pinning content directly from your website. To do this, copy the following URL into your address bar http://www.pinterest.com/source/yourwebsite.com. Replace “yourwebsite.com” with your own website name and press Enter. You will see a list of the users who pinned your content and the board they pinned it to. Why not thank them for sharing your content and follow them?
You can also use this just to browse what is being pinned from any other website. For example, if you want to see what people are pinning from the Ikea website, you just check the URL pinterest.com/source/ikea.com. Check out this short video by Jacob Curtis to see this feature in action.
Finding new boards and pinners to follow
When browsing or searching Pinterest boards on a mobile device, have you ever noticed the little lightbulb icon for Related Pins when moving your finger over a board? This is an excellent way to discover new boards and pinners that have similar interests to yours. You can also use it to see which other boards have pins similar to your own boards by sliding to the lightbulb and releasing it.

What Pinterest content is driving traffic to your website?
Quantifying what percentage of your traffic comes from Pinterest is great, but understanding which content is driving that traffic is much more interesting! Add UTM variables to your in URLs to complete the story of your analytics! Simply add a snippet of text at the end of the source URL for your pin to enable tracking. How to add many pins without getting penalised by your followers or Pinterest
When you make new boards, you want to add at least 5 or more images to it. Publishing a relatively high number of images in a short space of time brings the risk of being marked as a spammer by your followers or the Pinterest Smart Feed. There is an easy way to publish large quantities of pins without getting noticed: pin your content to a secret board first and change it to a public board when you are ready. This way, the pins will not get fed into the Smart Feed.
How to keep your own pins at the top of your boards
A beautifully simple tip from Gary Sharpe of Blue Dog Scientific:
“OK, the key to Pinterest is what we call curation – mixing up your own pins with those you find and love. But your boards are still mainly for marketing your own business, right? So are you not in danger of your own pins getting lost in the sea of pins? Well it does not have to be that way. Occasionally go through and move all your own pins back to the top of your board.”
How? Just select “move pins”, tick all your own pins and move them… to the board they are on.”
How to feature your most Pinterest-worthy posts in your sidebar

How to find popular group boards
Pinterest group boards are an excellent way to reach more people to get repins, followers and traffic. However, it is extremely hard to find group boards on Pinterest, because there is no easy way to search for them. PinGroupie makes finding group boards a piece of cake! Sort by repins and select boards with the highest number of repins which is a good indicator of board engagement levels.
@Tag generosity
A good way to gain new followers is to tag the original pinner in the description section. All you have to do is add the @ symbol in front of their Pinterest account name (copy it from their Pinterest URL) and they will get notified that you mentioned them. It is flattering to know that your pins are being shared by others, and adding this small personal touch is a great way to gain more followers on Pinterest.
